Original, saturated images are mounted by hand on cradled birch panels.  Once dry, I mix a sticky epoxy art resin with a hardening agent and coat the image for a thick, ultra glossy finish.  The resin is mixed and poured by hand.  It's super sticky but has the viscosity of honey, so settles with gravity, sometimes running over the edges.  It has a habit of dripping on EVERYTHING.

Once poured, there are usually tiny bubbles or imperfections in the finish. I use a blowtorch or heat gun to remove the bubbles, but a few stubborn ones sometimes remain.  I've managed to melt a few photos trying to remove stubborn bubbles, so instead have learned to appreciate that a few bubbles contribute to the uniqueness of each piece.

The resin cures for about 48 hours.  It must be protected from dust and movement while it sets.  Once cured, the shiny surface is very durable and brings the photos to life!
